Just this

“ Just this” a common phrase used by my daughter Shreeya. On numerous occasions it comes up and it’s funny how easily she says it.

“Just this mommy” pops up when there is a desire to do something trendy. A never ending wishlist which surfaces every now and then.

Just this tattoo and there will be no more. Just one more ear piercing and that would be all that is needed. Of course when she says it aloud she doesn’t mention that the phrase “Just This” is relevant for today and ends with today. Tomorrow there will be a new idea and it will also be “Just this”.

I love artistic words and short phrases. Some of them are really iconic “Forever free” , “Perfectly imperfect”, “Chill out” , “Game On”, “ Everything count’s”, “Hello Gorgeous”.

“Just this” .. falls in this category ..cute and memorable coming from our own GenerationZ or Zoomers. However there is something really deep underneath this…it’s a killer instinct to setup one more goal , to embrace one more change, to conquer one more obstacle. And I hope I could immerse myself in the undercurrent of its playfulness.

Just this time , I let go

Just this time, I turn around

Just this time, I pick up the stitch

Just this time, I getup from a corporate ditch

Enrich me with the passion of just this time

No one else thinks of mom the way Shreeya does, although she loves having money and hates seeing her bank balance go down she bought me these beautiful gifts in the spur of just this cadence.

I love the zoomers just this time and for eternity.
