We recently were invited to a friends house for a ghazal night. It was one of a kind experience. There was beauty, serenity, food and melodious music which made the evening throb with vitality and wonder.

Here are few of my favorite ghazals :

1. Yeah Kakaz ki kashti

2. Hosh Walon ko Khabar kya zindagi kya cheez hain

3. Tum itna kyon muskara rahi hon

4. Baat niklegi tho door talak jayegi

5. Sharrab cheez hi aisi hain

And so on an on .. a mesmerizing outlandish dusk savored and cherished by each one of us and devoted to great singers like Jagjit Singh, Ghulam Ali , Pankaj Udaas , Hariharan.

The hosts Parag and Pratima had organized this event in honor of Parag’s fathers 75th birthday. What a novel idea which was executed flawlessly in the comfort of home with well renowned Bay Area singer Avinash and company.

Sometimes melody is the only thing that the heart and soul needs.

Notes 🥁 are an outburst of the soul when they penetrate life resonates.
